Sprachpass

About Sprachpass

German exam practice is the only thing we build

Language apps teach you German. Sprachpass gets you ready for the exam paper in front of you, with its real format and its real scoring.

How we got here

Sprachpass is the German exam preparation platform: practice in the exact format of your examining board, level by level.

It is the last stop in a small German journey. GoAusbildung helps you find the path, BookGermanTest alerts you when exam slots open, and Sprachpass gets you ready to pass it.

We would rather cover your exact exam well than cover twenty exams badly.

  1. May 2026: the reset

First commit on 18 May 2026, after a reset around one idea: exam items first, lessons never. The clay look and Bruno the clay bear were settled on 21 May, and the first beta users joined on 20 to 22 May, nine people in total before launch.

  2. June 2026: public launch

The learner dashboard opened to the public around 9 to 11 June 2026, and daily organic signups started within days. Paid plans and Goethe A2 followed on 20 June, and Goethe B1 on 28 June.

  3. July 2026: the first sale

The first Meta ad and INR payments through Cashfree went live on 1 July 2026, and the first real customer paid on 3 July. The same month the platform became exam-first: free daily practice with per-skill limits, one free mock for life, and no trial.

  4. July 2026: the promise changes

From 28 July every paid plan carries a 7-day, no-questions-asked refund. The old pass-or-your-money-back line retired, because a promise nobody can keep is worth nothing.

  5. August 2026: two boards, four levels

Goethe B2 practice and mocks went live on 22 August 2026, and telc A1 and A2 practice opened the same day, each after a flag-on check on production. Institutes got their own workspace for batches, students and teachers in the same month.

  6. September 2026: Learn opens

On 30 September 2026 Learn opened to every learner: a speaking-first course from A1 to B1 where each chapter teaches the exam task it prepares for, with Bruno Call and Chat with Bruno.

  7. Who runs it

Uday Yatnalli founded Sprachpass after moving to Germany for his Master's at TU Munich and spending the next eight years helping other people make the same move. Today he runs the exam-content program behind Sprachpass, with the team at Qogent Learning Solutions Private Limited in India and Qogent Global LLC in the United States.

  8. What comes next

More boards are on the roadmap, and later the profession exams people need for work in Germany. A picker, guide button or start button for a board or level that is not yet live says so plainly, and nobody can pay for or start something that does not exist yet.

Bruno the clay bear pointing at a clay exam paper on a wooden board and explaining it, with the gold clay chick perched on top of the board and the rose clay rabbit looking up beside a small clay clock
Bruno the clay bear waving, with the gold clay chick perched on his raised paw and the rose clay rabbit standing at his side next to a small clay signpost
Bruno's tip. I am the explainer, not the mascot. I show you what went wrong, I cheer when you get it right, and I never blame you for missing one.

The ecosystem

Find the path, book the seat, prepare to pass

Three platforms, one German journey: each stop does one job and hands over to the next.

Bruno's tip. We built this because people who could hold a real conversation in German still failed the exam: nobody had shown them the paper, how long each part runs, what a full answer looks like, and what the marks are given for. So we built the rehearsal we wished they had.

Questions

What people ask us

Is Sprachpass a language course?

No, it is exam rehearsal: you bring the German from your course, your teacher or your app, and Sprachpass drills the paper you are about to sit, with feedback on every answer. Language apps teach you German; Sprachpass gets you ready for the exam paper in front of you.

Which exams can I practise?

Sprachpass is a German exam preparation platform with exam-specific practice for Goethe A1, A2, B1 and B2 and telc A1, A2, B1 and B2. The exams page lists practice and mock availability for each exam and level.

Who writes the questions?

Every question is built to match the real exam papers, and every question enters the bank only through a machine-checked gate plus an independent blind-solve review. Nothing enters the bank unproven.

Is the feedback honest?

Yes, and that is the point: your Schreiben and Sprechen answers are scored on the official marking criteria, and a kind score would only cost you the exam fee. Every wrong answer comes with the reason it was wrong.

Do I need to pay?

No: free practice in each of the four skills every day and one full mock exam cost nothing, and no card is needed to start. Premium removes the daily limit; the pricing page has the plans, and every paid plan carries a 7-day refund.

Where is the company based?

Sprachpass is operated by Qogent Learning Solutions Private Limited in India, the same company behind GoAusbildung and BookGermanTest. Registered company details are on the Impressum page.
