About this page

Six topic hubs: German exams in India, which German exam, and one preparation hub each for Goethe A1, Goethe A2, telc A1 and telc A2.

Articles retired into a study plan or a compare page are not listed twice; their hub points at the live page instead.

The Goethe A2 hub holds two live articles, the practice-test guide and the Hören training article, plus the Goethe A2 study plan, speaking topics, writing samples and exam guide. Read the practice-test article first, then the Hören article, then open the four-week plan.

Bruno's tip. Read the practice-test article first and the skill article second. The format before the technique, always.

The numbers

The guide library in numbers

6Topic hubs. Two decision hubs and four preparation hubs.
9Live articles. Published and still served at their own URL.
23Retired articles. Their URLs now redirect into an exam page, a study plan or a compare page, so the hubs list the live page instead.

How to use it

Step by step, inside your week

  1. Step 1: Pick the one hub for your board and level and ignore the others for the week. Treat it as a thread to follow rather than a reading list.

  2. Step 2: Start with the hub's format article, the one that walks the paper part by part, and copy the part order onto your study card.

  3. Step 3: Pair each skill article with a practice run at the same board and level on the same day, so the article's advice meets a real task while it is fresh.

  4. Step 4: Before the week ends, open the study plan the hub links and check that the week's focus line matches what the articles told you.

  5. Step 5: When a hub has no article yet, use its study plan, exam guide and the speaking and writing pages. The format is already there; the article is commentary.

  6. Step 6: Use the two decision hubs only once, before you book. After that, your exam hub is the only thread that matters.

Bruno's tip. One topic hub per exam is enough. If a hub has no article yet, its study plan and exam guide already carry the format.

Questions

What people ask first

What do the two telc A1 articles cover?

telc A1 Practice Test: What to Expect walks the paper part by part: three Hören parts with 15 questions, a shared 45-minute Lesen and Schreiben block, and the group oral exam. telc A1 Sprechen: The Three Parts Explained takes the oral exam on its own: introduce yourself, ask and give information, make requests, with the timing and points of each part. The exam guide the hub links carries the 36 of 60 mark.

Why is telc A1 the featured hub and not German exams in India?

Both hold two live articles. The India hub's thread ends at a booking decision rather than a paper, while the telc A1 hub links a study plan, speaking topics, writing samples and an exam guide, so it is the one to copy for your own exam.

What is a topic hub?

One page that gathers every article, study plan, speaking and writing page and exam guide for one board and level, or for one decision such as which exam to take.

Why do some hubs show no article?

Their first articles were retired into the study plans and compare pages, so the hub points at those live pages instead of listing a redirect. New articles join the hub as they publish.

How often do new guides appear?

The blog publishes three English articles a week during the current program, and each one joins its topic hub on the day it goes live.

Why are B1 and B2 missing from the hubs?

Their preparation lives in the exam guides, the eight-week study plans and the speaking and writing pages. A B1 or B2 hub opens with its first published article.

Are the articles in German?

The articles are in English with the German exam terms kept, such as Hören, Lesen, Schreiben, Sprechen and Teil. German-language versions are a later phase.

Who writes the guides?

Sprachpass does, from the official model papers and exam rules already used across the site. Every exam number in an article carries its source.

Where do the retired articles go?

Their old URLs redirect permanently to the study plan or compare page that replaced them, so a saved link still lands on a live page.

How do the hubs connect to practice?

Each hub links the practice route for its board and level. Read the format article, then take the same part into a practice run the same day.

What is the difference between a topic hub and an exam guide?

The exam guide is the reference for one paper: modules, timing, pass marks and the booking hand-off. The topic hub is the reading thread around that paper: its articles, its study plan and its speaking and writing pages, gathered in one place.

Can I search the articles instead of browsing by topic?

Yes. The site search in the header indexes every published article and every topic hub, and the blog index lists the articles newest first.
