Institute Terms

These terms, in plain English, are the agreement between your institute and the operator of Sprachpass for the institute program. By registering an institute you agree to them, together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Joining the program

You register your institute, and a person reviews the application, normally within a day. We decide which institutes join and can decline an application. You confirm that the details you give us are true and that you are allowed to act for the institute.

2. Licenses

Access for your students is sold as per-student licenses. One license belongs to one student email and cannot be moved to another student once assigned; the only exception is taking back a license whose invite was never opened. A license runs for 1 month from the day you assign it, and you see the exact end date before you confirm. Renewals stack: extending a student adds a full month to their current end date, with no lost days. Licenses you have not assigned stay usable for 1 year from purchase.

3. Payment and refunds

Licenses are one-time purchases at the per-license price shown in your dashboard at the time of purchase. There is no subscription. A license you have not assigned can be refunded within 30 days of purchase. Assigned licenses are non-refundable.

4. Your subdomain and branding

Your students train on your own subdomain, carrying your institute's name, logo and colors, with no Sprachpass marks, no retail pricing and no offers aimed at your students. You confirm you hold the rights to the name and logo you upload, and that your subdomain does not impersonate anyone else. When a student's license ends, they are asked to contact your institute; we never sell to them directly on your platform.

5. What you see of your students' work

Your dashboard shows the work your licensed students complete on your platform: practice sessions, mock exams, answers, writing and speaking submissions, and grades. A student's personal Sprachpass account, if they have one, stays separate and private from your institute. Our Privacy Policy explains this to students in the same words. You agree to tell your students that their work on your platform is visible to you, and to use that visibility only for teaching them.

6. Suspension

We can suspend an institute that misuses the platform, its students' data, or its branding, or whose payment fails. We will tell you why and try to resolve it with you first. Suspension pauses your dashboard and your students' access; it does not erase your data.

7. Changes

We can change these terms and the license price for future purchases. Licenses you have already bought keep the terms they were bought under. If we ever end the institute program, licenses already assigned run out their full time.
