- How is each text scored?
- Each criterion gets a band from A to E worth 5, 3.5, 2, 0.5 or 0 points, so each Teil is worth up to 10 points and Schreiben 20 raw points, scaled to 25 of the exam's 100.
- What scores a task zero?
- A task fulfilment grade of E, whatever the language quality. That happens when the text misses the topic (Thema verfehlt), or when it is under half the required length: fewer than 10 words in Teil 1 or fewer than 15 in Teil 2.
- Do grammar mistakes fail my text?
- No: A2 examiners expect simple structures with some errors, so a text with small mistakes that covers every point in the right register can still score well. Task fulfilment (every point, in the right register) is what can zero a task, because an E there scores the whole task 0.
- Which openings and closings should I learn?
