What the timed paper contains
Goethe B1 is modular: Lesen, Hören and Schreiben are separate written modules with breaks between them, and Sprechen follows in pairs after a preparation time. The mock scores each module on its own.

65 min · 5 parts · 30 questions
Teil 1 (6 questions): a blog post or personal letter, with six statements in text order marked Richtig or Falsch. Teil 2 (6 questions): two short press texts with three questions on each, starting with the main point. Teil 3 (7 questions): seven situations matched to small adverts, or marked as having no solution. Teil 4 (7 questions): seven reader letters on one debated question, where you decide who is for it. Teil 5 (4 questions): a set of house or usage rules, with questions that jump around the text.
Hören (listening)
40 min · 4 parts · 30 questions
Teil 1 (10 questions, played twice): five short texts such as voicemails, each with a Richtig or Falsch item and a three-option question. Teil 2 (5 questions, played once): a guided tour or briefing by one speaker, answered in audio order. Teil 3 (7 questions, played once): an everyday conversation between two people, with seven Richtig or Falsch statements. Teil 4 (8 questions, played twice): a radio discussion with a moderator and two guests, where you decide who says what.

60 min · 3 parts · 3 tasks
Teil 1: an informal email of about 80 words to a friend. Teil 2: an opinion post of about 80 words for an online guestbook. Teil 3: a polite semi-formal email of about 40 words.
Sprechen (speaking)
about 15 min · 3 parts
Teil 1: plan something together with your partner. Teil 2: present an everyday topic from five slides. Teil 3: answer questions on your talk and give feedback on your partner's.
Exam-day facts

- If you miss one module, you retake only that module.
- Sprechen follows 15 minutes of preparation with notes, then lasts about 15 minutes in pairs, or about 10 when taken alone.

How to read your result
Each module gets its own score out of 100. A module passes at 60. Your result keeps the modules separate, so one weak area never hides inside a total.
After the paper, your History keeps the question-by-question review. Insights uses your measured work to show which skills need attention. It never turns an unmeasured result into a promise.
Your first mock is free
Every learner account gets one free mock exam. Premium unlocks unlimited mocks and unlimited practice. Both modes are available on the same paper.
