Teil 1

Listen to six short everyday conversations and choose one of three options for each. The audio plays twice.

The seller adds it up aloud: "sechzehn Euro" for both tickets. Eight is one ticket alone, and eighteen only sounds similar.

Listen to four public announcements and mark each statement Richtig (right) or Falsch (wrong). The audio plays once.

Room 105 on the first floor is only for people with an appointment. Without one you wait downstairs: "Dann warten Sie bitte hier im Erdgeschoss". So the statement is false.

Three common mistakes

  1. 1Answering with the first time, price or number you hear. A1 dialogues often name a rejected option first, and the corrected one is the answer.
  2. 2Waiting for a second play in Teil 2. There is none, so read the statement in the pause before the announcement and decide on the first play.
  3. 3Marking answers only in the booklet and rushing the transfer to the answer sheet at the end. Practise that transfer as part of every timed run.
